In many Delhi families, a birthday cake has to work for everyone at the table — grandparents who don’t eat eggs, kids who want chocolate, and cousins who want a photo with it. An eggless cake quietly solves the first problem. Here is how to get the rest right.
1. Start with who is eating it
- Kids’ parties: chocolate, Kit Kat, Oreo and butterscotch almost always get finished.
- Family birthdays with elders: lighter fresh-cream cakes like pineapple, Black Forest or fruit work well, and rasmalai flavours go down well with people who prefer mithai.
- Mixed crowds: one classic flavour everyone knows is safer than something adventurous.
2. Order the right size
A rough guide: 500g serves 3–4, 1kg serves 6–8, 1.5kg 9–12, 2kg 12–16 and 3kg 18–24 people. If there are other desserts, you can go a size smaller. Our cake size guide goes into more detail.
3. Decide: ready-made or custom?
Ready-made cakes from our eggless cake menu can be ordered online for a 2-hour delivery slot the same day (at least an hour ahead) or up to 7 days in advance. For a photo cake, a theme, a number cake or a special message, use the custom cake form at least 2 days ahead; we call to confirm the design and price.
4. Plan the delivery or pickup
Delivery is free within 2 km of our shop on Main Palam Dabri Road and ₹50 beyond. Pick a slot that lands an hour or two before the party, not at the last minute. If you are collecting it yourself, keep the box flat on the car floor, not on a seat.
5. Candles, knife, and the fridge
Keep fresh-cream cakes refrigerated until about 15–20 minutes before cutting. Put candles in just before you light them so the cream doesn’t melt around them.
Hosting the party outside home?
If the guest list has outgrown the living room, our rooftop party hall is above the bakery, so the cake only has to travel one floor. Questions? Message us — we are happy to help you choose.
